There are a number of factors that affect when a tracking number will show in Spark Shipping.
Many times in an effort to stay on top of tracking on platforms like Amazon or ebay, customers will
not give the systems enough time to sync the tracking and the end up adding tracking manually.
There are several things to consider in these scenarios.
- There may be a lag time between when the vendor sends the tracking email and when they update their feed; ask your representative how long it takes for their system to load tracking
Example: Lipsey's does not provide tracking via API on the same business day. It's always 1 day later.
- Both Spark Shipping and the vendor's system will have some gap time
- We advise customers to allow 2-4 hours for customers to have tracking updated in Spark Shipping
Did you change the order's status manually in your shopping cart?
If you manually changed the order status to fulfilled in your platform such as Shopify or Woo Commerce, then Spark Shipping will NOT pull the tracking number at that point. In a sense, you are telling Spark Shipping that you are intervening on this order and it will not try to pull any more tracking data.
The best bet is to not touch the order status in your shopping cart unless needed or until tracking is complete.
